Updated Monday 10/5/09 -- The WRWBL's New York IronHorse returned from the 2009 National Amatuer Baseball Association World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona with a 1-4 pool play record.  Competing in the 18 team wood bat division with entrants from 12 different states the IronHorse outslugged the Boston Rockies 18-16 for their lone victory of the tournament. See below for orginal details on who represented the league out west. 
 
 
White Plains, NY -- The Westchester/Rockland Wood Bat tournament team the New York Iron Horse announced their finalized roster in anticipation of their upcoming trip to National Amateur Baseball Association World Championships held in Phoenix, Arizona from October the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.
 
The Iron Horse (named after legendary New York Yankee and Mount Vernon native Lou Gehrig) is a select team with players from many of the 14 WRWBL rosters who come together for a shot at the national championship.  All games are played at the MLB spring training and fall league complexes.  In seasons past the club has made some real noise against an international field including a final four (semifinal) appearance in 2004.  
 
The 2009 roster has 14 players representing seven different WRWBL teams.  Players include:
