Dirtbags Set Single Season WRWBL Home Run Record With 17 The New Rochelle Dirtbags have set a new Westchester/Rockland Wood Bat League home run record with 17, passing the previous record of 16 set by the Pleasantville Red Sox in 2005. Cristian Fiorito slugged a go ahead grand slam on July 8th against the Cavaliers to give the club the record. The team still has six games left on their 2012 schedule.

Fiorito and Signore Among WRWBL’s Top Rookies Through the Dirtbags’ first half of the season, rookie right fielder Cristian Fiorito (Concordia College) and shortstop Donato Signore (Adelphi University) have been two of the top rookies in the Westchester/Rockland Wood Bat League.

Opening Night 2012 With eight new additions to the roster, the New Rochelle Dirtbags are looking ahead to a bright and promising 2012 season. The 34 game schedule will begin this Friday night, May 25th at Rumbrook Park in Hartsdale NY as the ‘Bags gear up to face the Somers Cyclones.
